Panagia Paramythia Church is undergoing significant restoration thanks to a $345,000 grant from the U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation awarded in 2022. Recently, Ambassador Flake and his wife, Cheryl Flake, visited the church to gather information about the project and its impact on Istanbul’s historic Fener and Balat neighborhoods. This project aims to ensure the church remains a prominent landmark in the area for many years to come.
