Geographical Indications of Bingöl Honey and Osmaniye Peanuts Recognized by the EU
Two Turkish products, Bingöl Honey and Osmaniye Peanuts, have received geographical indication recognition from the European Union (EU). This milestone brings the total number of EU-recognized Turkish products to 23.
Agriculture and Forestry Minister İbrahim Yumaklı shared the announcement on his social media account.
Minister Yumaklı stated, “We start our day with two pieces of good news. With the geographical indication recognition of Bingöl Honey and Osmaniye Peanuts from the EU, the number of our certified products has risen to 23. We will continue to increase and promote our geographical indication products in cooperation with our partner institutions internationally.”
