Aydın’s Gendarmerie Briefed Visitors on Forest Fire Prevention
In the Karacasu district of Aydın, environmental awareness efforts are in full swing. The Aydın Provincial Gendarmerie Command, specifically its Environmental, Nature and Animal Protection Team, conducted an informative session at the historical site of Aphrodisias Ancient City. This initiative aimed to educate the public on various environmental regulations including Law No. 2872 on Environmental Protection, Law No. 5199 on Animal Protection, and the laws pertaining to the preservation of cultural and natural assets.
The campaign, operating under the motto “Everything Is in Our Hands,” focused on instilling a sense of environmental and nature love, as well as raising awareness about fire risks. Visitors were provided with a brochure titled “Rules to Be Observed in Forest Areas” to enhance their understanding of forest fire prevention. In a heartwarming gesture, children visiting Aphrodisias Ancient City were given coloring books by the Gendarmerie team.
