Four Terrorists Neutralized in “BOZDOĞAN-44” Operation in Şırnak

The Minister of Interior, Mr. Ali Yerlikaya, announced that four members of a separatist terrorist organization have been neutralized in the “BOZDOĞAN-44” operation conducted in the rural areas of Beytüşşebap district in Şırnak. Among the neutralized terrorists, one was listed in the orange category and two in the gray category of the Ministry of Interior’s Wanted Terrorists List.

The operation in the rural Beytüşşebap district of Şırnak was executed with precise intelligence efforts coordinated by the Gendarmerie General Command Intelligence Department and the Counter-Terrorism (TEM) Department, under the command of the Gendarmerie Asayiş Kolordu Command. Air force jets, ATAK assault helicopters, and J-SİHA drones supported the operation, where Gendarmerie Special Operations (JÖH), Gendarmerie Commando units, and security guards engaged in fierce clashes with the terrorists.

The neutralized terrorists—identified as Brüsk (K) Basri Cin, Rüstem (K) Sefer Temel, Kamuran Gever (K) Yılmaz Sala, and Dilsöz Rojhilat (K)—were implicated in multiple attacks involving the deaths of security personnel and civilians as follows:
– 24 May 2018: The shooting death of one security officer in rural Beytüşşebap.
– 15 July 2019: An IED attack on a civilian vehicle, resulting in one civilian death and injuries to two others in rural Beytüşşebap.
– 6 June 2020: An IED attack during an operation, injuring one security officer in rural Beytüşşebap.
– 29 July 2020: An IED attack during another operation, injuring two security officers in rural Beytüşşebap.
– 14 August 2022: An IED attack injuring two civilians in rural Beytüşşebap.
– 13 September 2023: A shooting that resulted in the death of one civilian in rural Beytüşşebap.

Ali Yerlikaya tweeted: “We are determined,” with a closing note emphasizing the importance of the operation for national security.
