Former Minister Vahit Kirişci Under Fire for Controversial Remarks

Former Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Vahit Kirişci has come under intense scrutiny following his recent comments. Previously criticized for his controversial statement during the flood disaster that claimed 15 lives, where he said “the soil has reunited with water,” Kirişci is now under fire for a different remark.

In a recent statement, Kirişci declared, “Those who do not condemn Haniye’s death have no right to speak of love for dogs.” These words sparked widespread public outrage and ignited a heated debate.

Following Kirişci’s comments, Burhanettin Bulut, CHP Deputy Chairman responsible for Public Relations and Media, and Adana Deputy, vociferously criticized Kirişci’s remarks. Bulut questioned, “Does anyone believe the sincerity of those who see no objection to continuing trade with Israel while there is a humanitarian tragedy in Palestine?”

Bulut emphasized that Kirişci’s statements have deeply hurt the public and caused significant societal uproar. He also highlighted the severe humanitarian crisis in Palestine, stressing that insincere comments on this matter are meaningless.
