Former Foreign Minister Yaşar Yakış has passed away. The sad news was announced by AK Party Deputy Chairman and Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik.
In his statement, Çelik said, “May Allah have mercy on former Foreign Minister Yaşar Yakış. We extend our condolences to his valuable family, loved ones, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. May his place be in paradise.”
Yakış’s passing is considered a significant loss for both his family and the Turkish foreign policy and diplomatic community.
