Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek made significant announcements regarding the country’s economy.
Minister Şimşek affirmed their resolute continuation of programs designed to strengthen the economy and ensure stability.
Şimşek emphasized the need to focus on macro-financial stability, sustainable high growth, and a more equitable income distribution instead of artificial issues being brought into the spotlight.
“Our nation should rest assured. We are establishing discipline in the budget, bringing the current account deficit to a sustainable level, eliminating foreign exchange reserves as a cause for concern, and successfully reducing currency-protected deposits. Inflation will soon enter a rapid decline,” he stated.
He also highlighted that the country possesses significant potential and that his team is working tirelessly to realize this potential.
