Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek Announces Efforts to Increase Tax Fairness and Reduce Informality
Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek stated that efforts to increase tax fairness and reduce informality are continuously ongoing.
Şimşek reported that individuals with monthly expenditures exceeding 5 million TL who do not declare their income are now subject to auditing to tax their actual earnings. In addition, businesses using IBAN or “mail order” payment methods without paying taxes are also being scrutinized.
Şimşek emphasized that they will continue to pursue those who cause tax losses and evasion, thereby gaining unfair profits and generating unfair competition.
