Female Police Officers in Van Ensure City’s Safety Day and Night

In Van, female police officers from the Motorcycle Police Teams Directorate are dedicated to maintaining the city’s peace and security around the clock.

Female police officers assigned to the Van Police Department Public Security Branch have completed a month-long motorcycle riding and basic law enforcement training course and commenced duties with the Yunus Teams. Participating in law enforcement operations across various city regions on their motorcycles, these female officers stop vehicles for searches, conduct personal searches on suspicious individuals, and run General Information Search (GBT) checks. Citizens show great interest in these female Yunus motorcycle patrol officers, often taking commemorative photos with them.

“On the Streets for Van’s Peace”

One of the Yunus officers, Fatma Coşkun, stated: “I am proud to undertake this sacred duty and happy to be assigned in Van. As Motorcycle Police Teams, we focus on deterring potential crimes, capturing wanted individuals, responding swiftly to incidents, and ensuring the peace and security of citizens. We patrol to prevent crime and ensure public safety. In places where people gather, we conduct surprise inspections at different times. During these inspections, we perform GBT checks and preventive searches to catch materials that constitute a crime.”
