Cem Avşar has raised an alarm about the situation of youth in education and employment, highlighting that 2.5 million young people are neither in school nor part of the workforce.
During his announcement, Avşar questioned who these young individuals are, where they are located, and the extent of the danger they are facing.
Avşar stated, “The situation is very serious. We are facing the risk of losing an entire generation,” expressing his concerns about the future of these young people. He noted the high rates of youth unemployment and stated that as a result, many young people have been excluded from the education system.
While noting the negative impacts of this situation on society, he emphasized the need for more extensive discussions on possible solutions. Urgent steps must be taken to reignite hope for the future of the youth.
