Environmental Law Violations Lead to Hefty Fines in Bartın

In a recent investigation, it was found that the waste dumping activities at the İnkumu Wild Waste Dump Site, located 9 kilometers from Bartın city center, were in violation of environmental laws. As a result, administrative fines were imposed on various municipalities in Bartın province.

**Which Municipalities Were Fined?**

The fines, amounting to a total of 6,495,270 TL, were distributed as follows: Bartın Provincial Special Administration, Bartın Municipality, Amasra Municipality, Kurucaşile Municipality, and Ulus Municipality, each receiving fines of 1,299,054 TL. The fines were imposed for not adhering to environmental protection laws.

The authorities have stated that this investigation and the subsequent administrative fines are part of ongoing efforts to raise awareness about environmental protection. They emphasized that such inspections will continue and urged compliance with environmental regulations. The public is respectfully informed.
