Emergency Health Services to Run Uninterrupted During Sacrifice Feast
The Ministry of Health has announced comprehensive measures to ensure uninterrupted emergency health services across the country during the Sacrifice Feast, which starts on June 14. As part of these measures, a total of 3,457 ambulances and 19,593 emergency health service personnel will be on standby every day. Additionally, 175 National Medical Rescue Team (UMKE) vehicles and 875 UMKE personnel will also be deployed.
**Special Teams Deployed in Istanbul**
In Istanbul, a helicopter ambulance, emergency aid ambulance, UMKE vehicle, and UMKE ATAK vehicle, manned by nine healthcare professionals, will be stationed at the Northern Marmara Highway – Tuzla Akfırat location. On the Anatolian side, emergency aid ambulances will be positioned at Tuzla Bridge, in front of the Mehmetçik Foundation, and at Istanbul Park Opet. On the European side, emergency aid teams will be deployed at TÜYAP Büyükçekmece, Tem Highway Silivri, and Çatalca locations.
**Measures Taken for Ankara and Izmir**
In the capital city of Ankara, a UMKE vehicle and emergency aid ambulance will be stationed on the Kulu road, Eskişehir road, and Kırıkkale road. Additionally, a helicopter ambulance and two motorcycle ambulances, staffed by 25 healthcare professionals, will be on duty at the Kulu Makas location.
In Izmir, a helicopter ambulance, UMKE vehicle, emergency aid ambulance, and motorcycle ambulances will be deployed in districts such as Çeşme, Urla, Karaburun, Seferihisar, and Güzelbahçe, and on roads leading to these districts. Furthermore, healthcare teams will be stationed at key points such as Bornova and Menemen.
