Earthquake Preparedness Enhanced in Muğla with TAMP Tabletop Exercise

Muğla Deputy Governor İsmail Soykan chaired the TAMP Earthquake Tabletop Exercise at AFAD Campus, attended by representatives from public institutions and organizations.

Representatives from various public agencies participated in the exercise held at the Muğla Provincial AFAD Center. The event, led by Deputy Governor İsmail Soykan, evaluated actions to be taken during and after an earthquake, as part of the Turkey Disaster Response Plan (TAMP).

The main objective of the exercise was to enhance coordination among public institutions and review the preparedness level for effective and rapid response in the event of a potential earthquake. The exercise thoroughly examined disaster management and emergency response processes.

The TAMP Earthquake Tabletop Exercise highlighted the significance of inter-agency cooperation and communication, underlining the importance of being prepared for disasters like earthquakes.

At the end of the exercise, participants exchanged information and evaluations and made recommendations for future efforts. It was noted that such exercises would continue and preparations for disasters would be maintained.
