Defense Minister Güler Conducts Critical Inspection in Hakkâri
The Turkish Minister of National Defense, Yaşar Güler, conducted a significant inspection in Hakkâri alongside relevant military officials. During this visit, inspections were carried out at the 3rd Infantry Division Command, followed by a video teleconference meeting with the 2nd Army Command.
During the meeting, Minister Güler focused on accessible terror threats and delivered critical messages to unit commanders. Güler emphasized that counter-terrorism strategies were being successfully implemented, and operations in this framework were effective both physically and psychologically. He noted that the recruitment to terrorist organizations has nearly dropped to zero. Additionally, Güler underscored that elements that could pose a terror threat had been neutralized, and terror corridors had been dismantled through operations.
In his remarks, Güler stated, “In the coming period, no place will be left unchecked or untrodden to expand control further,” reaffirming their determination in maintaining security. These statements were seen as an indication of the country’s efforts to strengthen its defense and security strategies and its unwavering commitment to counter-terrorism.
