Constitutional Court Overrules Can Atalay’s MP Disqualification
The Constitutional Court has ruled that the disqualification of Can Atalay’s parliamentary membership is “null and void.” This decision implies that this legal anomaly needs to be resolved promptly. It was stressed that Can Atalay should take his rightful place in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).
This statement was made by CHP Deputy Chairman in charge of Public Relations and Media Relations, and Adana MP, Burhanettin Bulut. Bulut emphasized the importance of swiftly completing the legal process following the Constitutional Court’s invalidation of Atalay’s disqualification, ensuring that Atalay can start his duties in the TBMM.
