It was noted that legal proceedings had commenced, with families traveling to Ankara for years in pursuit of justice. Thanks to the efforts of lawyers, concrete evidence was gathered against the suspects being prosecuted, and a new case was being prepared against 18 ISIL members who are still at large. However, the failure to hold public officials accountable was underscored, with calls for the punishment of all perpetrators to prevent future occurrences.
Participants gathered in front of the “October 10 Mothers’ Cry Monument” expressed their determination to keep the memory of their lost loved ones alive. They reiterated that the pain of their loss continues to deeply affect them. The ceremony concluded with a moment of silence to honor the victims.
