CHP Vice Chairman and Party Spokesperson Deniz Yücel claimed that the refugee issue has become a matter of national survival for Turkey, holding President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan responsible.
Yücel stated in his announcement that the refugee policy has posed social and economic challenges to the country. He also highlighted that the mishandling of the refugee crisis threatens national security. “We have to say that the refugee issue has now become a matter of national survival for this country. The main person responsible for this situation is President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan who has been implementing these policies,” Yücel said.
Yücel emphasized the urgent need for the government to develop a comprehensive and sustainable refugee policy. He stated that the CHP expects more effective steps to be taken in this regard and advocated for a solution-oriented approach that respects human rights.
