CHP Deputy Chairman and Party Spokesperson Deniz Yücel delivered sharp criticisms against the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) in a recent statement. Yücel scrutinized the current state of MHP, highlighting that there are two figures within the party who are seen as burdens and who create a negative image.
Addressing both the criticisms directed at CHP and their leader, Özgür Özel, Yücel stated that these individuals could find no other way to sustain their political existence than by attacking CHP and Özel.
Moreover, Yücel pointed out that some members of MHP are following their meetings with President Erdoğan with the demeanor of a “fallen lover,” making emotional and rhetorical statements in the process. He also touched upon the Sinan Ateş case, suggesting that these individuals are making increasingly convoluted statements as they fear the case might reach them.
In his concluding remarks, Yücel described these figures within MHP as “dirty, dark, and unnecessary.”
