CHP Women’s Branch President Highlights Poverty Crisis on Social Media
CHP Women’s Branch General President, Aylin Nazlıaka, drew attention to the issue of poverty through a statement on social media. Referring to a citizen’s remark, “One child bankruptcy, two children spinning wheels, three children eh, we need four or five,” Nazlıaka questioned the realities behind these words.
In her statement, Nazlıaka emphasized the poverty experienced by a family with five children. Highlighting the increasing poverty rates nationwide, she pointed out that many children are forced to withdraw from life due to the current system. According to the reports she received, these five children had lost their lives.
Nazlıaka’s post resonated broadly within society. The statement shed light on discussions about gender equality, social justice, and the fight against poverty, questioning the government’s economic policies.
This emotional message brought the need to address poverty on both national and local levels to the forefront. By highlighting similar hardships faced by many families, Nazlıaka’s statement supported the need for increased social assistance and economic reforms.
