CHP Women’s Branch General President Aylin Nazlıaka made significant statements at the International Women’s Congress in a Global World, held in Istanbul. The event was also attended by Istanbul Provincial President Özgür Çelik, Maltepe Mayor Esin Köymen, and Bakırköy Mayor Ayşegül Ovalıoğlu.
In her speech titled “Struggle for Equality,” Nazlıaka emphasized the importance of gender equality. “Women having equal rights in social life is essential for a democratic and just society,” she stated.
During the event, participants discussed the inequalities women face in economic, social, and political spheres and proposed solutions to address these issues. The current situation in Turkey and international efforts were also evaluated.
The event aimed to draw attention to gender equality and raise awareness on the subject.
