CHP Vice Chairman Burhanettin Bulut Raises Alarms Over Turkey’s Economic Woes
Burhanettin Bulut, the Deputy Chairman of the Republican People’s Party (CHP) and an Adana Member of Parliament, made significant statements concerning the current state of Turkey’s economy. Bulut pointed out that the true face of the economic policies under the management of Mehmet Şimşek has now been revealed. He emphasized that the recent data indicates economic contraction is aggravating unemployment.
“Even the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) can no longer hide the devastation in the economy. With economic contraction, unemployment has surged,” said Bulut. He noted that the economic indicators and high inflation demonstrate that the so-called “Century of Turkey” is actually marked by millions of unemployed and citizens struggling with economic difficulties.
