CHP Leader Özgür Özel Criticizes President Erdoğan Over ‘Kürt Sorunu’
In a notable comment on Turkey’s political agenda, the leader of the Republican People’s Party (CHP), Özgür Özel, criticized President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Referring to Erdoğan’s statements on the ‘Kürt sorunu’ (Kurdish issue), Özel said, “There is no Kurdish issue, there is a ‘fur issue.'”
Özel emphasized that Erdoğan has no concern for friendship with different ethnic groups in society. “He has no concern for friendship with Turks, Kurds, Alevis, or Sunnis; his only concern is his ‘post,’” Özel asserted, highlighting Erdoğan’s desire to maintain power.
