CHP Deputy Chairman Burhanettin Bulut Criticizes Media Censorship
CHP Deputy Chairman Burhanettin Bulut has expressed his strong reaction against the imposition of censorship on the media. Bulut criticized the court’s decision to block access to news and social media posts concerning the investigation of large companies that do not pay taxes, following an application by Turkuvaz Media.
In his critique, Bulut pointed fingers at the government and pro-government media outlets. “RTÜK, the palace’s baton, was not enough; now pro-government media outlets have also started censoring the media. You claim to be philanthropists to the extent that you establish foundations, but you are shameless enough not to pay your taxes to the state. The foundations you set up do not cover your shame!” Bulut stated.
