CHP Deputy Chairman Criticizes Minimum Wage: “Live on Minimum Wage for a Month, See for Yourself!”

CHP Deputy Chairman in charge of Public Relations and Media Relations, Burhanettin Bulut, who is also an Adana MP, has harshly criticized Minister Mehmet Şimşek’s statements regarding the minimum wage. Bulut condemned Şimşek’s claim that “the minimum wage is not low in Turkey,” stating that this assertion does not reflect reality.

Bulut challenged Şimşek by saying, “If 17,000 TL minimum wage is sufficient, try to live on that amount for a month and see how the people are doing!” He emphasized that current economic conditions in Turkey make it impossible for citizens to survive on the minimum wage.
