CHP Deputy Chair Condemns Pressures on Journalists
In a recent statement, CHP Deputy Chair Burhanettin Bulut, who serves as an Adana Member of Parliament, condemned the pressures exerted on journalists. Bulut expressed his support for journalists Timur Soykan, Murat Ağırel, Barış Terkoğlu, and Barış Pehlivan, who have been targeted for their journalistic activities and efforts to inform the public about the truth. Bulut emphasized that press freedom is a cornerstone of democracy, stating, “Such pressures and attacks on journalists are unacceptable. We will continue to stand by media personnel.”
