CHP Deputy Chair Burhanettin Bulut Criticizes Broken Promises and Threat of Rental Aid Cut for Earthquake Victims

Burhanettin Bulut, CHP’s Deputy Chair responsible for Public Relations and Media Affairs and also an Adana MP, has vehemently opposed the unfulfilled promises made to earthquake victims and the looming threat of terminating rental assistance.

In his statement, Bulut emphasized, “Authorities had promised that the housing issue for earthquake victims would be resolved within a year following the earthquake. However, 1.5 years have passed, and it is evident that these promises have not been kept. Now, they are threatening to cut rental assistance citing economic difficulties.”

Reaffirming their support for the earthquake victims, Deputy Chair Bulut stated, “No one has the right to victimize the earthquake survivors. There’s no way we’ll let this slide; we will not allow the earthquake victims to be trampled upon. If necessary, we will initiate the largest resistance in Turkey to secure rental assistance.”
