CHP Criticizes 300% Increase in Student Dormitory Fees at Ege University
CHP Deputy Chairman and Party Spokesperson Deniz Yücel criticized the recent price hikes in student dormitory fees at Ege University. Yücel highlighted that the more than 300% increase in dormitory fees is a sign of heartlessness. He condemned the management’s profit-focused approach to fundamental rights, such as accommodation and nutrition, by placing the economic crisis’s burden on students. Additionally, he stated that they would put an end to the oppressive mentality of the AKP government, which ignores and oppresses students, workers, civil servants, tradespeople, and retirees. Yücel’s statements were also shared on the official social media accounts of CHP.
