On September 25, 2023, the city of Jalal-Abad in Kyrgyzstan was officially declared the “Turkic World Tourism Capital” for the year 2025 during the 9th Meeting of Ministers Responsible for Tourism of the Turkic Speaking Countries (TSC).

The meeting was hosted by Maksat Usubaliev, Head of the Tourism Department of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic. High-level representatives from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Hungary, as well as the Deputy Secretary General of TSC, Mirvokhid Azimov, and Tilek Tekebaev, the Full Authorized Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in Jalal-Abad, attended the meeting.
