Çekmeköy Municipality Hosts Grand Opening Ceremony with Keynote from CHP Leader Özgür Özel
Çekmeköy Municipality recently held a major opening ceremony attended by notable figures and local residents. During the event, the leader of the Republican People’s Party (CHP), Özgür Özel, delivered significant messages concerning poverty in Turkey.
In his speech, Özel highlighted the current state of affairs in Turkey, stating that the system is based on accepting poverty rather than eradicating it. He pointed out that managing poverty is prioritized over eliminating it.
“Today in Turkey, there is a system where poverty is accepted, but instead of eradicating it, managing it is preferred. We propose that this wealthy nation grows further, produces more, and shares what exists more fairly,” Özel remarked, emphasizing the importance of economic justice and productivity.
The opening ceremony aimed to showcase the projects implemented by Çekmeköy Municipality. The event saw a high turnout, focusing on informing the local community about municipal services.
