AK Party’s Ömer Çelik Responds to Criticisms of the People’s Alliance
Ömer Çelik, Deputy Chairman and Spokesperson of the AK Party, addressed the criticisms regarding the unity of the People’s Alliance.
Referring to CHP Chairman Özgür Özel’s opinions about the unity and integrity of the People’s Alliance, Çelik dubbed this perspective as “futile.” He also characterized Özel’s remarks, in which he called the People’s Alliance partners “accomplices,” as an aggression that does not adhere to the rules of political courtesy.
Emphasizing the ongoing strength of the People’s Alliance, Çelik stated, “We are capable of responding to all forms of aggression within the realms of politics and law.”
Çelik noted that Özel’s comments following the President’s reciprocal visit are seen as efforts to alleviate disturbances within the CHP.
