AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik Responds to Legitimacy Claims on Presidential Complex
In a recent statement, Ömer Çelik, Deputy Chairman and Spokesperson of the AK Party, strongly reacted to comments questioning the legitimacy of the Presidential Complex. Çelik emphasized that the President has the authority to decide the official residence for the office.
Speaking on the matter, Çelik stated, “No one has the right to declare the legitimacy of the People’s House Complex or prefer Çankaya Mansion over it. This decision lies with the Presidential Office. It could be the Complex, Çankaya Mansion, or any other location. It is unnecessary to pit these places against each other in a legitimacy contest.”
This statement aims to put an end to ongoing debates surrounding the Presidential Complex. Çelik highlighted that such discussions are needless and that the legitimacy of state premises should not be questioned.
