AK Party Marks 22 Years of Political Transformation in Turkey
On November 3, 2002, under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the AK Party (Justice and Development Party) ushered in a new era in Turkish politics with their electoral victory. Today marks the 22nd anniversary of this significant milestone.
Since coming to power, the AK Party has positioned itself as a pioneering force in Turkish politics, championing the demands of the people, reconstructing civil politics, and initiating a period of significant transformation. The party has adhered to central politics with an inclusive approach and strongly advocated for democratic values since its founding and ascent to power.
