AK Parti MP Responds to Criticism Over G20 Digital Economy Ministers Meeting

In a striking announcement on social media, AK Party Bursa MP and President of the Industry, Commerce, Energy, Natural Resources, Information and Technology Commission addressed criticisms regarding the G20 Digital Economy Ministers Meeting.

What?
The MP emphasized their commitment to actions beneficial to the state, responding to criticisms about the use of the state aircraft and travel expenses.

Where?
The statement referenced the G20 Digital Economy Ministers Meeting held in Salta, Argentina.

When?
The meeting took place during a period when the event was organized in Argentina.

How?
The MP stated that a delegation from the Industry and Technology, Treasury and Finance, and Foreign Affairs Ministries attended the meeting using a state aircraft. He affirmed that the costs associated with the aircraft, hotel fees, and other expenses were economical.

Why?
The delegation participated in the meeting to pursue actions beneficial to the state, justifying the expenses as necessary. He also mentioned that discussions with an Indonesian minister led to positive outcomes in the defense industry.

Who?
The announcement was made by the AK Party Bursa MP and President of the Industry, Commerce, Energy, Natural Resources, Information and Technology Commission.

In his statement, the MP said: “It seems not enough to lie openly from the people’s podium; you insist on being shameless. I am well-versed in actions beneficial to the nation-state. Not only do you have blinders, but also a mathematics problem. We attended the G20 Digital Economy Ministers Meeting in Salta, Argentina, with a delegation from the Industry and Technology, Treasury and Finance, and Foreign Affairs Ministries. The use of the state aircraft by the entire delegation of three ministries is more economical than a 38-hour four-connecting flights fare, an additional three days of hotel fees, per diem, and other expenses. Additionally, a simple Google search will show the results of the meetings with the Indonesian minister in the defense industry from that trip. Comparing our trip, which has no purpose other than the benefit of our state, to the wasteful trip organized for the personal PR of your Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality president, is a disgrace.”
