President Erdoğan Highlights the Inadequacy of Turkey’s Current Constitution
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan emphasized the insufficiency of the current constitution to meet Turkey’s needs during a statement following the Presidential Cabinet Meeting.
Addressing the impacts of the September 12 regime, Erdoğan remarked, “Despite numerous revisions, our current constitution remains constrained for Turkey and its democracy. It is becoming increasingly clear every day that it falls short of meeting Turkey’s requirements.”
Erdoğan stressed the need to overcome prejudices to achieve democratic goals and expressed his expectation that everyone comprehends this reality.
