Following the attacks carried out by Israel on Lebanon, efforts have commenced to ensure the safe return of Turkish citizens from the affected region. Turkey has taken prompt action to protect its nationals during this critical period.
Execution of the Operation
On October 9, 2024, the Turkish Naval Forces launched an evacuation operation departing from Lebanon and arriving in Mersin on October 10, 2024. This mission aims to address the extraordinary circumstances currently faced.
