Anger Management and True Strength

By Haberyaz Oct7,2024

Anger is a natural emotion that people experience from time to time. However, how this emotion is managed can have significant consequences for the individual and their surroundings. In this context, a hadith from the Prophet Muhammad emphasizes the importance of anger management in a striking way.

One day, the Prophet asked, “Who do you think a strong person is?” The people in the society responded, “A person who is never defeated in wrestling.” But Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, “No, a truly strong person is one who controls themselves when they are angry,” indicating that true strength lies not in physical power, but in willpower.

These words highlight that losing control in moments of anger is easy, but the real challenge is to remain calm and maintain our balance. Being strong does not rely solely on physical power; the ability to overcome anger with patience and willpower is also a part of this strength.

Ultimately, the true victory is achieved when we can manage our anger.
