Iran Lifts Flight Restrictions
In a significant development, Iran has lifted all flight restrictions across its airports, as announced by a spokesperson for the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization. This marks the end of the previously enforced flight cancellations.
Why Were There Flight Restrictions?
Previously, flights within Iran were canceled between 21:00 and 06:00 local time. These cancellations were enforced due to the lack of suitable and safe flying conditions. The escalating tensions between Iran and Israel had a considerable impact on air traffic.
Announced Changes
The Iranian Civil Aviation Organization has stated that security conditions have been restored, leading to the lifting of all flight restrictions. Specifically, flights from Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport have resumed. “Currently, there are no restrictions on domestic and international flights,” clarified the organization.
The resumption of aviation operations in Iran is seen as a crucial step towards revitalizing the country’s transportation network.
