Turkey Shares Firefighting Expertise with Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus
Turkey has launched a significant training initiative by sharing its firefighting expertise with the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). Under the “Emergency and Disaster Response Training” program conducted by TIKA, in collaboration with Konya Metropolitan Municipality, 30 personnel from the TRNC Fire Department received theoretical and practical “Basic Firefighting Training.”
This training program aims to equip participants with the skills necessary to handle emergencies and disasters effectively. The education includes fundamental knowledge of firefighting and is reinforced with practical exercises. Additionally, the initiative seeks to enhance the readiness level for potential emergencies in the region.
Through these training sessions, TIKA aims to share Turkey’s experiences and bolster the competency of the TRNC’s firefighting personnel. Consequently, this effort also strengthens the cooperation and solidarity between the two nations.
