TİKA Opens Sewing Workshop for Women’s Vocational Training in Mosul

The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) has launched a sewing workshop in Mosul, Iraq, aiming to support women’s vocational training. The workshop is equipped with 12 industrial sewing machines to enhance the skills of local women. This initiative is designed to increase women’s participation in the workforce and assist them in achieving financial independence.

The project is expected to develop women’s professional skills and contribute to the local economy. This effort in Mosul is part of a broader series of projects dedicated to supporting women’s vocational education. TİKA’s backing of the sewing workshop aims to boost employment opportunities for women in the region and take steps towards gender equality.
