103rd Anniversary of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s Titles Celebrated with a Memorial Ceremony
A commemorative ceremony was held on September 19 to mark Veterans Day and the 103rd anniversary of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk being bestowed the title of “Gazi” and the rank of “Marshal”.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler and the Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, along with military officials, veterans, and their families. Among the participants were Chief of General Staff General Metin Gürak, Commander of the Land Forces General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, and Commander of the Air Forces General Ziya Cemal Kadıoğlu.
This significant event served as a testament to the gratitude owed to veterans and those who sacrificed their lives in the struggle for freedom. Organized by the Ministry of National Defense, the ceremony once again highlighted the importance the Turkish nation places on its veterans.
