Turkey’s Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz Honors Adnan Menderes in Kütahya
Turkey’s Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz spoke at an event organized to commemorate Adnan Menderes. This event, held in Kütahya, was titled “Adnan Menderes Memorial and Tribute Meeting.” Yılmaz honored Menderes’ memory, who was unlawfully sentenced to death following the coup on May 27, 1960.
During the program in Kütahya, Yılmaz expressed gratitude to the AK Party Kütahya Provincial Presidency for arranging the event and wished that coups disregarding national will would never recur. In his speech, he also wholeheartedly thanked the people of Kütahya for their sincere support.
This gathering not only reinforced feelings of tribute and remembrance for the martyr of democracy, Menderes, but also highlighted the need to prevent past adversities from recurring.
