Germany’s Diplomatic Missions in Turkey Closed on August 30 in Celebration of Victory Day

In celebration of Turkey’s Victory Day on August 30, Germany’s diplomatic missions in Turkey will be closed for the day. This announcement has come from the German Embassy, which informed the public that services such as legal and consular affairs, as well as visa processing, will not be available on this special occasion. These closures will affect all German diplomatic offices in Turkey and will be in effect on August 30, 2023.

Victory Day, a significant national holiday in Turkey, is celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country. The day commemorates a critical victory in Turkish history and is marked by public ceremonies and events. The German Embassy has communicated this suspension of services to ensure that Turkish citizens and residents, as well as German nationals in Turkey, are aware of the temporary pause in operations.

The decision underscores the importance of Victory Day in Turkey and aligns with the widespread observance of the public holiday. Normal operations at the German diplomatic missions are expected to resume following the holiday.
