Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek has underscored the significance of Turkey’s formidable military and civilian fleets in effectively combating forest fires. Şimşek revealed that the current fleet in the country comprises 27 aircraft, 105 helicopters, and over 5,000 ground vehicles, stating, “We have the strongest Green Homeland army in our history.” The minister emphasized that all necessary precautions will be taken at every stage of fighting forest fires, and that no effort will be spared in this regard.
