Injured Vulture Rescued and Treated by Gendarmerie Team in Hakkari’s Çukurca District
In a heartening operation, the Gendarmerie team in Hakkari’s Çukurca district discovered an injured vulture while on patrol and promptly took action to save the bird. According to an official statement from Hakkari Governor’s Office, the team from the Provincial Gendarmerie Command was conducting a routine patrol in the rural area of the district when they came across the vulture in distress.
After swiftly rescuing the injured bird from the site, the team transferred it to the Environmental, Nature, and Animal Protection Team. The bird was then handed over to officials from the Nature Conservation and National Parks (DKMP) Branch Directorate for medical care.
The injured vulture has now started receiving the necessary treatment and will be released back into the wild once it has fully recovered.
