Interior Minister Mr. Ali Yerlikaya announced that 15 suspects were apprehended in an operation against the organized crime gang led by Adnan Üstün in İzmir.
The operation, named “KUYU-19”, targeted the organized crime group led by Adnan Üstün (who is currently at large abroad) in İzmir.
During the operation, 15 members of the organized crime gang were arrested.
Under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security’s KOM Department; İzmir Provincial Directorate’s Organized Crime, Intelligence, and Public Order Departments carried out extensive investigations. It was revealed that the suspects in the organized crime group operating in İzmir had been involved in:
– Establishing an organization to commit crimes,
– Premeditated murder, and
– Attempted premeditated murder.
As a result of the operation, unlicensed firearms were seized.
The İzmir-based “KUYU-19” operation successfully tackled the organized crime group led by Adnan Üstün (who remains overseas) and apprehended 15 suspects.
Mr. Ali Yerlikaya, emphasizing the gravity of the situation, noted, “I want our esteemed nation to know that those who boast in crime will not disrupt the peace of our people.”
