Jandarma Teams Intensify 24/7 Patrols to Prevent Forest Fires Amid Rising Temperatures
In the forested areas across the province, both civilian and official gendarmerie teams continue their activities on a 24-hour basis to prevent forest fires. Patrols are being carried out on forest roads and plateaus using ATVs, UTVs, bicycles, motorcycles, and similar vehicles.
As gatherings such as festivals, countryside weddings, and other events require permits, citizens are being warned on this matter. Administrative and judicial actions are taken against individuals who do not comply with these regulations. During these days of increasing temperatures and high potential for forest fires, citizens are being informed that it is forbidden to light fires in forests due to the irreversible consequences it may cause, and the gendarmerie also intervenes to prevent any such activities. Patrols in the forests are also conducted with the help of fire detection dogs.
Authorities reminded that all kinds of picnics, with or without fire, are prohibited within forest areas.
It was stated that these activities would continue uninterrupted until the end of the fire season. Citizens are urged to show sensitivity towards forest fires and comply with the decisions taken.
