The Turkish frigate TCG GAZİANTEP has successfully conducted “Naval and Passage Exercises” in the Mediterranean as part of NATO’s Standing Maritime Group-2 mission. The exercise included participation from the Royal Canadian Navy’s frigate HMCS CHARLOTTETOWN, Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force destroyers JS SHIMAKAZE and JS KASHIMA, and the Romanian Navy’s minesweeper ROS BALESCU.
Aimed at enhancing operational alignment and maritime skills, these naval drills featured extensive information and experience sharing among the participating naval forces.
This collaborative effort underscores NATO’s commitment to collective maritime security and the strengthening of international naval cooperation.
