İstanbul, Turkey – In a recent address, İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu brought attention to the challenges faced by firefighters combating the increasing forest fires across Turkey. Dervişoğlu emphasized the heroic efforts of firefighters as these blazes engulf various regions of the country.
He pointed out that firefighters have a significant responsibility and are making tremendous efforts to extinguish these fires. However, Dervişoğlu expressed his concern that firefighters currently do not have a dedicated occupational law, and he stressed the need for rectifying this situation. Noting the deep-rooted establishment of the firefighting service in Turkish state tradition, Dervişoğlu advocated for the legal recognition of this vital profession.
Müsavat Dervişoğlu further declared that addressing this issue would be one of İYİ Party’s priorities in the upcoming term of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). He affirmed their commitment to securing an occupational law for the firefighting service.
