Istanbul Mayor Highlights Fire Department’s Efforts in Izmir Blaze

Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu emphasized the critical role and efforts of the Istanbul Fire Department in combating the recent fire in Izmir. The firefighting team, comprising 60 personnel and 15 vehicles, conducted extensive extinguishing operations at various locations across Izmir.

Particular focus was placed on the olive groves, where cooling efforts were implemented to prevent the fire from reigniting. This diligent work reflects the department’s dedicated commitment to controlling and mitigating the fire’s effects.
