CHP Official Criticizes Turkey’s Olympic Performance: Calls for Parliamentary Investigation
CHP Deputy Chairman and Adana MP, Burhanettin Bulut, criticized Turkey’s return from the Olympics without winning a gold medal for the first time in 40 years. Speaking vehemently, Bulut called for the Parliament to investigate the reasons behind the decline in Turkey’s Olympic performance.
Bulut emphasized the urgency of uncovering the reasons behind the significant downturn in the sports sector. He noted the substantial responsibility of the Sports Minister and sports federations in this matter, asserting, “The Sports Minister should first hold themselves accountable.”
Proposing that Parliament establish an investigative commission to thoroughly examine the process, Bulut insisted that structural reforms are essential for Turkish sports to regain its former glory.
